The announcement that JSSB would be opening its first location on Main Street in Jersey Shore, PA was first made in the Jersey Shore Herald on May 14, 1934.

1934 - Jersey Shore State Bank opens its doors for the first time in history as a small community bank. It was initially owned by 400 Jersey Shore residents. The first President to serve at JSSB was Paul Green.
1951 - Roscoe Wolf is appointed the second President in JSSB history.

1971 - Jersey Shore State Bank opens a second office in uptown Jersey Shore, PA on Bridge Street.
A temporary location was established for Jersey Shore State Bank in Williamsport in January of 1982 as construction began on the permanent building on Market Street.
In October of 1986 the 300 Market Street location of JSSB was opened in Williamsport. Along with a new branch, all operations relocated from the Main Street office in Jersey Shore to the branch in Williamsport.
1982 - Jersey Shore State Bank expands its region into Williamsport with a temporary branch location as construction on the permanent location begins.

JSSB acquires Lock Haven Savings Bank in April of 1995, effectively expanding the operation west.
In January of 1999 JSSB once again spreads itself west by purchasing First National Bank of Spring Mills for $13.5 million.

In October of 2000, JSSB purchased the M-Group d/b/a The Comprehensive Financial Group, effectively allowing the company to offer investment and insurance products to its customers.
On November 15, 2001, Penns Woods Bancorp, Inc. was listed on the NASDAQ.
2000- Ronald Walko becomes the fourth President of Jersey Shore State Bank. JSSB purchases the M-Group d/b/a The Comprehensive Financial Group, effectively giving the company the ability to offer investment and insurance products.

In January 2012 JSSB expanded to Montour County by opening an office in Danville, PA.
JSSB gets a "new look" by updating its logo - going from the boxed pine tree to the current rolling waves logo.
In June 2013 NASDAQ officially announced the acquisition of Luzerne Bank by Penns Woods Bancorp, Inc.
In December 2013 Penns Woods Bancorp, Inc. was invited to ring the NASDAQ bell in New York City.
In August 2014 JSSB opened a brand new office in Loyalsock Township. Along with the banking center in the first floor, the JSSB Mortgage Services team moved into the second and third floors of the building.
In November 2015 JSSB opened for business in Lewisburg, PA. Along with a banking center in the first floor, the second floor offices features members of the JSSB Mortgage Services and Financial Services teams.
2010- Richard Grafmyre is appointed as the fifth President of Jersey Shore State Bank.
2012 - Jersey Shore State Bank expands its reach into Montour County with a banking center in Danville, PA. JSSB also received a "new look" with its current rolling waves logo.
2013 - Penns Woods Bancorp, Inc. completes its purchase of Luzerne Bank in June and is invited to ring the NASDAQ bell in December.
2014 - Jersey Shore State Bank opens a location in Loyalsock Township complete with a banking center and the JSSB Mortgage Services team.
2015 - Jersey Shore State Bank continues to expand throughout the Central Pennsylvania area by opening a location in Lewisburg, PA.
2017- Karen Young is appointed as the sixth President of Jersey Shore State Bank.
2018 - Jersey Shore State Bank continues to expand throughout the Central Pennsylvania area by opening a location in Snow Shoe, PA
2020 - Jersey Shore State Bank continues to expands west by opening a location in Altoona, PA.
2021 - Jersey Shore State Bank continues to expand throughout the Central Pennsylvania area by opening a location in Bellefonte, PA.
