Text Banking User Guide
NOTE: You must have a Jersey Shore State Bank account and Internet Banking to sign up for Text Banking. Jersey Shore State Bank does not charge any fees for Text Banking and is not responsible for any fees you may incur while using Text Banking. Check with your service provider before signing up for Text Banking.
Step 1: Locate the Mobile Text Settings widget
Log into your Internet Banking account.
(A.) Click green tab labeled "Options".
(B.) Click tan tab labeled "Mobile Banking".
(C.) Click "Text Mobile Settings" on white tab bar directly under tan tab bar.

Step 2: Enter Cell Phone Information
Under the "Text Mobile Settings" tab you should see the "Mobile Text Settings" widget. See Figure 2.
Check "Enable text access for your mobile device" if not already checked. Next, enter your Mobile Phone Number (10 digits).
Step 3: Choose Accounts and Mobile Short Name
On this page you'll see two columns. The left-hand column says "Account Name". Here you can select which accounts you want to access with your mobile device.
The right-hand column says "Mobile Short Name". A Mobile Short Name is the name you will enter in your texts to select information from a specific account. Enter a name that's easy for you to remember and that is easy to type on your mobile device.
Step 4: Complete Text Banking Setup
Once you have completed Steps 2 and 3, click "Submit" and accept the Terms and Conditions.
An "Information Message" will appear at the top of the page with directions on completing your enrollment. See Figure 3.
Using your mobile device, create a new text message. In the body type your Mobile Validation Code (different for each account). Send the email to the 5-digit FI Text Number. DO NOT include an area code.
Shortly after you send the Mobile Validation Code to the FI Text Number you will receive a text message from Jersey Shore State Bank Text Banking. Depending on your service will depend on how quickly you receive your confirmation.

Step 5: Understanding Text Commands
Text Commands are needed to communicate with your accounts using Jersey Shore State Bank Text Banking. See Figure 4.
Account Balance - Text BAL (not case-sensitive) and you'll
receive a text with all balances of accounts you established in Step 3.
Text BAL along with the Mobile Short Name of an account and you'll
receive the balance of ONLY that account.
Account History - Text HIST and you'll receive an individual
text containing four most recent transactions for each account you
established in Step 3. Text HIST along with the Mobile Short Name of an
account and you'll receive a text containing four most recent
transactions for ONLY that account.
HELP Command - Text HELP and you'll receive a list of the Text Commands.
STOP Command - Text STOP and you'll cancel your Text Banking capabilities.
