JSSB Donates $15,000 to North Central Sight Services' eSight Project

Williamsport, PA - Jersey Shore State Bank, a subsidiary of Penns Woods Bancorp, Inc. and proponent of investing back into the communities it serves, donated $15,000 on Tuesday, April 12 to North Central Sight Services, Inc. for use in their eSight Project.

North Central Sight Services, Inc. assists blind and visually impaired individuals to maximize their quality of life through prevention education programs, vision screenings, vision rehabilitation therapy, support services, and employment programs. The eSight Project is their latest program, where the company provides high-tech eyewear to improve the vision of their visually-impaired employees.

The development of this technology is a huge step into the future of visual enhancement and restoration," stated Richard Grafmyre, President and CEO of Penns Woods Bancorp, Inc. and Jersey Shore State Bank. "We wanted to ensure our friends at North Central Sight Services could keep pace with this advancement in technology as it continues to be developed for future utilization."

Grafmyre and Jersey Shore State Bank were also presented with the North Central Sight Services "Regional Business Partner of the Year" award.
